Vicky Cristina Barcelona movie

Last Sunday, I saw a great film in a Toulouse’s cinema.

 

My opinion at the end and of the movie made me begin a speak about it. Moreover, after thinking, I wanted to give you a going out advice.                                                                                                                                             Missing it would be a shame. Called "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona" by the famous realisator who directed it, the picture hasn’t been on screen for a long time.                                                                                                                     So, don’t worry you have plenty of time to go to either Gaumont’s, Pathe’s for UGC’s or what else…                    Directed, in the Barcelona’s region, it will give you standpoints, landscapes, settings, urban styles and, also plays of flamenco guitar that will pass on you a marvellous impression of Catalonia.                                                               We rightly understand the reason why Vicky left her native land : America, to achieve her thesys.                          Nonetheless we ask what unites Vicky and Christina, two young women, with a totallly opposite character.             Vicky, the just fiancee and determined with her convictions, and Christina an undecided girl who easily gives into temptation. In fact, this beginning causes their entrance in a liberated world, art’s one.

Even if, the work of Woody Allen, focuses on on a slighty peculiar way of life, you will certainly enjoy it.                       Indeed, starring with Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansoon, Javier Bardem and Rebecca Hall, the casting is as talented as handsome.                                                                                                                                                          The actors adapt to their character with perceptiveness, and don’t pass on any stereoptype of their part’s kind.              For instance, Penelope Cruz playing Maria Elena an abstract artist, looks like a nervous and elated person. She doesn’t apear as a balanced woman. Depressed, she loses her temper in fit a frage and lots of others chronic feelings down.        The first time we met her, takes place when she enters the Christina (Scarlett I) and Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem) life. Trying to suicide, she was safe by Juan Antonio, her ex – husband, who decided to take care of her with Christina. His girl friend, firstly, embaraced and surprised by her guy’s reaction accepts.                                                              Then, an original relationship between the two experienced painters and Cristina, the new photography’s adept is created.

Will this unusual situation can survive ?

How will Christina become appreciated as an artist apart ?

Will the ex-couple influence her ?

How about this friend Vicky that Cristina left to meet again Juan Antonio ?

Will the second america girl confess to her friend her hidden feelings for Juan Antonio ?

You will know all the answers, going to the pictures.

I saw this film during the holiday.I think it's an original and touching film which describes the loving toing and froing between several people. It's interesting to see the way used by Woody Allen to pass the emotions and to "speak" about different themes like love, of course, but also friendship and happiness.I saw Vicky Cristina Barcelona in original version and it's better, I think. The mix between English and Spanish is, at the same time, amazing but pleasant.Furthermore, as the action takes place in Barcelona we can admire the beautiful places of the city. I really like this film and I advise you to see it .Carole S. 1ère ES3.

Hello ! I would like to write an article about "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" but I see that someone else had the same idea so I'm going to describe you my opinion about this film in this comment :) First, this work of Woody Allen, famous director for his numerous films, deals with love and happiness, universal topics. The two heroines, Vicky (Scarlett Johansson) and Cristina (Rebecca Hall), are young Americans who spend their summer holidays in Barcelona. They are going to meet a Spanish painter (Javier Bardem) and his ex-woman (Penelope Cruz) who are going to throw the disorder and the confusion in their heads as in their hearts.I've found that these subjects, rather abstracted, were approached here in an original and moving way, funnily and lightness. Furthermore, the four main characters, according to me very charismatic and difficult to interpret, are very well played by Javier Bardem and the three actresses.Also, I like very much the city of Barcelona and the film taking place in this magnificient city, I find sets and landscapes beautiful !Finally, I saw it in original version sub-titled and I appreciated all the more because I find that there is a real game with the various spoken languages (English and Spanish). Sincerely, I think see it in French will be damage because we would pass nearby an aspect of the film.At the end of the film, the question what's love, what's happiness, is not still resolved; it makes the spectator think about it whithout giving a precise answer. Basically, I have really like it, so go to see it and tell me your own opinion !
